NADA Envisions Diabetes Free People

NADA Resources

Resource Directory: Sharing Successes
It is our hope that this directory will continue to grow as more community diabetes programs are developed. A listing of community diabetes programs and activities will be maintained on NADA’s website.

We invite you to provide us with updated information so we can keep the directory as up to date as possible. If your program is not listed and you would like to have it included, please contact the NADA office.

How-To
Do you want to know how to set up a community kitchen? A diabetes support group? An exercise program? Read on for more information about setting activities up in your community.

If you have an activity that you would like to share on our website, please contact the NADA office.

Pathway to Wellness Handbook
The handbooks are developed to assist you in learning more about diabetes. Whether you are living with diabetes, care for someone living with diabetes and/or know someone living with diabetes, these handbooks will assist you in learning more about the disease.

What Does Diabetes Mean to Me Booklet
The booklet is comprised of randomly drawn entries and our hope is that everyone will learn a little something more about what diabetes means to people of all ages.

The Eagle Book Series Our latest project “the Eagle Book Series” is the result of a partnership with the Native Diabetes Wellness Program in the United States, Health Canada and Merck Frosst. The book series are designed to provide information to children about the benefits of good diet and physical activity with respect to preventing the onset of Type 2 diabetes. The Eagle Book Series is a well-illustrated  resource that delivers a simple yet important message to children about healthy living. This is one of the most influential projects NADA has undertaken. We are currently accepting orders for the Eagle Book Series, you can order them for $ 55.00 per set. Just fill out  the order form online and mail or fax it to NADA office.  Let us commemorate the World Diabetes Day by ensuring that our children have this important resource in schools. Order the books before the World Diabetes Day on the 14th of November to make a special event in commemoration of  this extraordinary day! Give us a call today at (204) 927-1220 or toll free 1 (877)-232-6232.
